The adventure park is located directly at the Bleiloch Dam, surrounded by beautiful nature, and extends over 8 hectares of woodland. It features rides, fairy-tale characters, and animals in the game enclosure.
Every year, over 40,000 visitors from Thuringia and the neighboring federal states visit the Saalburg-Ebersdorf Fairytale Forest, making it a special experience for young visitors and their companions. Here, you can encounter all the well-known fairy-tale characters, listen to fairy tales being read, and be enchanted by the magical atmosphere. A gastronomic establishment ensures visitors’ physical well-being, generating around 30% of the annual revenue. The Upper Saale Valley is a major tourist attraction, offering a wide range of activities in stunning natural surroundings, and the Fairytale Forest has benefited from this popularity for years.
Over the past five years, more than €300,000 has been invested in expanding the existing infrastructure and acquiring additional attractions. The entire catering area, sanitary facilities, and rides are in excellent condition.
The park has significant potential as it currently operates only 6-7 months a year. Revenue could easily be doubled by expanding to year-round operation and attracting additional age groups.
For reasons of age, the current owner is seeking a successor—perhaps a family—who will continue the business and bring fresh ideas for further expansion.
