In summer 2023, VENTRADA was mandated to spin off AOC Advanced Optical Components GmbH from the Hellma Group. AOC is a highly specialised manufacturer of cylindrical optics with diameters of up to 1.0m, which are used in the laser industry, the semiconductor industry and other photonic sectors. Hellma, on the other hand, specialises in crystal growing for the optical industry.
After several uneconomical years at AOC, a restructuring was necessary, which could only be realised by means of an MBO including a new foundation and asset deal. Highly qualified employees, an intact customer base and the existing infrastructure were the foundation for the new start.
After investors were finally convinced of the company’s potential, nothing stood in the way of a successful future in spring 2024.
